Welcome! I’m Mary.
My approach is grounded in attachment theory, which says that as humans, we fundamentally need comfort and protection from our loved ones, and when something gets in the way of this, we are distressed. Often, the way we interact with others in the present is shaped by the ways we have experienced relationships in the past. Sometimes it’s helpful to take a closer look at these dynamics.
“Therapy can provide a non-judgmental, safe place to be curious about how we respond to others, learn more about our patterns of interacting with others, and discover new ways of responding to complicated interpersonal situations.”

I truly consider it an honor when clients entrust me with their care. I strive to cultivate a warm, welcoming, and caring environment.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Calvin College and went on to complete my Master’s in Social Work at Western Michigan University. I now live in Grand Rapids with my husband and our children, grateful for the rhythms of family life.
I’d be honored to support you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery!
